Arrest Report 12.1.11

The following information is provided courtesy of Avery County Sheriff’s Office. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Wade Bynum Cordell, 26, arrested Nov. 22 for possession of methamphetamine, three counts of shoplifting/concealment of goods, possession of drug paraphernalia, felony conspiracy. 
Kimberly Dawn Montgomery, 37, arrested Nov. 22 for simple assault, injury to personal property.
Brett Wayne Bond, 24, arrested Nov. 23 for felony probation violation.
Ricky Lynn English, 47, arrested Nov. 23 for assault on a female.
Amanda Taylor Hughes, 31, arrested Nov. 23 for simple assault.
Dalton Lee Ackley, 18, arrested Nov. 26 for simple assault, assault with a deadly weapon.
Georgina Patricia Fields, 41, arrested Nov. 27 for driving while impaired, resisting a public officer.
Dwight Charles Gilzeine, 20, arrested Nov. 20 for reckless driving, no operator’s license.

Sheriff’s office seeks information on white car

On Nov. 26, officers with Avery County Sheriff’s Office investigated a break-in at a residence on Beech Mountain Road in Elk Park. Several items were taken from the home on Beech Mountain Road. A small white car was seen in the area at the time of the break-in. Anyone with information about this crime or any other unsolved crime is requested to call Avery County Sheriff’s office at (828) 733-2071 or High Country Crime Stoppers at (828) 737-0125.  

Probation violation

On Nov. 23, officers with Avery County Sheriff’s Office responded to a medical call on Hickory Nut Gap Road. Avery Medics also responded to the location. A male subject at the call location was checked by Avery medics and was found not to need medical attention. Officers with the Sheriff’s Office found that Bret Bond, 24, had a warrant for a felony probation violation in Watauga County. Bond was taken to Avery County Jail where a $20,000 bond was set for his release.
