Avery County Arrest Report 10.4.12

The following information is provided courtesy of Avery County Sheriff’s Office. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.



Ashley Brooke Metcalf, 26, of 204 Hunter Knoll, Marshall, arrested Sept. 24 for expired registration card/tag, operating vehicle with no insurance, canceled/revoked/suspended certification/tag.



Palz O. Augusto, 62, of 513 Watauga Street, Newland, arrested Sept. 25 for second degree trespassing, misdemeanor larceny.



Juan Carlos Gaurdian, 20, of Nutcracker Lane, Newland, arrested Sept. 26 for driving while impaired.



Anthony James Gereld Bray, 26, of 32 Renfro Road, Elizabethton, Tenn., arrested Sept. 28 for possession/distribution of precursor chemicals. 



Troy Ray Hughes, 36, of 257 Heaton Creek Road, Roan Mountain, Tenn., arrested Sept. 28 for true bill habitual impaired driving.



Timothy Clifford Brewer, 26, of 239 Claude Isaacs Road, Elk Park, arrested Sept. 29 for simple possession of schedule IV controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, two counts of intoxicated and disruptive.



Ari Stephen Carpenter, 32, of 1670 Little Plumtree Creek Road, Newland, arrested Sept. 29 for failure to appear for misdemeanor death by vehicle, failure to appear for driving while license revoked, failure to appear for misdemeanor probation violation.  

Timothy John Hammonds, 32 of 105 Scafford Branch Road, Elizabethton, Tenn., arrested Sept. 29 for possession/distribution of precursor chemicals, possession of drug paraphernalia.



Sylvester Daniel Johnson, 40, of 307 Mollies Branch Road, Newland, arrested Sept. 29 for failure to register as a sex offender.



Matthew Bingham, 45, of 486 Lindsey Court, Commerce, arrested Sept. 30 for driving while impaired. 



Dennis Justin Hammac, 38, of 310 Turnpike Road, Banner Elk, arrested Sept. 30 for assault with a deadly weapon.
