Elder earns doctoral degree from George Mason University
On May 17, 2012, Katie B. Elder graduated from George Mason University with a Ph.D. in industrial and organizational psychology. She is a 2000 graduate of Avery High School and received her B.A. degree from North Carolina State in 2004. She is the daughter of Cliff Elder of Banner Elk and Maggie Burnette of Southern Pines.
