Galen Daniel Fletcher III celebrated his first birthday Aug. 12, 2012. Daniel is the son of Galen and Sarah Fletcher of Greenville, S.C., and the grandson of Dan and Ann Fletcher of Columbia, S.C. Dan is a Newland and Avery County native.
