Beech Mountain Community News 2.28.13

This week, I wanted to share with you one of my favorite books. Two of the things that I enjoy the most are reading and history. To me, the book “Come When the Timber Turns” is one of the best books about the history of the Beech Mountain community that has ever been written. Bessie Willis Hoyt wrote it in 1983.
In the book, Miss Willis (Hoyt) is a young schoolteacher who comes to teach at Dark Ridge School in 1926.
