Beech Mountain Community News 6.13.13

Beech Mountain Community Club will host its Father’s Day breakfast from 7 to 11 a.m. this coming Saturday, June 15. We will be serving sausage, bacon, country ham, eggs, biscuits and gravy, hash browns, pancakes and much more. Each plate is only $5 (a country ham plate may cost a little extra). Come on out, and treat your dad to a delicious breakfast at a great price.
Beech Mountain Baptist Church will host Vacation Bible School from Sunday to Friday, June 16 to 21. Classes start each day at 6:30 p.m. There will be music, crafts, games and most importantly, the chance for your child to learn more about Jesus. Come on out, and enjoy a week of fun and fellowship. Beech Mountain Baptist Church will also host its Homecoming on Sunday, July 21.
Beech Mountain Community Club will hold its monthly business meeting at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 20.
The churches of the Flat Springs, Poga and Beech Mountain communities will be hosting a bean supper for the community at the Beech Mountain Community Center at 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 22. The bean supper is free for the public. This event will also serve as a fundraiser for Kimberly Bunten, daughter of Josh and Ashley Bunten, who was injured in an accident earlier this year. All donations will be greatly appreciated. Turkey Tracks will provide music for this event.
The Avery County Shrine Club will host its monthly business meeting at Times Square Diner at 6 p.m. on Monday, June 24.
