Jason Jones / (

I wanted to start this week’s article by wishing everyone a happy and safe Independence Day. We are truly blessed to live in such an amazing country, the United States of America.
Beech Mountain Community Club is proud to announce that it had a record crowd for its fish fry that was held this past Friday night. This has become one of our most successful events, and we are thrilled to see so many people enjoying a wonderful meal, and supporting the Beech Mountain Community Center. A big thank you goes out to all of the volunteers for their dedication to helping make our fish fries so successful. Many thanks also go out to all of the people who come and support this event. Beech Mountain Community Center is proud to announce that it will be hosting its next fish fry at 6 p.m. on Friday, July 26. We will be serving fish and chicken, with your choice of French fries or a baked potato, coleslaw, baked beans and your choice of dessert and drink. A fish plate is only $8, and a chicken plate is only $6. Come on out, and enjoy a great meal at a great price.
