Holiday Market and Punt, Pass and Kick Contest Saturday

Kortnie Curry

Buckeye Recreation Center at Beech Mountain will host its annual Holiday Market from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m on Saturday, Nov. 24. General admission is free and the vendor fee is $10.
Proceeds from the event will benefit many of the projects sponsored by the Buckeye Recreation Center. One of the vendors attending the event will donate all proceeds made at their booth to the Bark Park project. Donated door prizes will be given out during the event and Santa and Mrs. Claus will be in attendance.

During the market, the Punt, Pass and Kick Contest and Cookout will take place at 12 p.m. on the field at the recreation center. The Punt, Pass and Kick Contest will test for the furthest punt and pass as well as the most accurate kick. Everyone is invited to enter the contest. There will be prizes given for each category and age group. The event is free to watch and $5 to enter. After the contest, a cookout will be held for the participants. There will also be a two-hand touch football game.

For more information on both events, contact Buckeye Recreation Center Programs Coordinator Brie Powell at (828)-387-3003.
