Newland School Reunion Saturday

Mark your calendar for this Saturday, Sept. 21, for the seventh annual Newland School Reunion at the Rock Gym in Newland. Note that the schedule is different this year: The program/business meeting will be held early and then visiting and socializing will last as long as anyone wishes to stay.
The doors will open at 2 p.m. for registration. The program, complete with door prizes, will begin at 2:30 p.m. After the program, group pictures will be taken for any classes who want to do so. The rest of the afternoon/evening will be free for visiting, browsing through memorabilia and renewing old friendships.
Come to the reunion if you had any connection at all to the old Newland Elementary or Newland High School (which were together until 1968 when the county’s three high schools were consolidated). You do not have to be a graduate to come to the reunion. If you ever attended there, taught there, worked there or even if your friends went there, you are invited to come and reconnect. All are welcome.
