The following cases were heard in Avery County Criminal District Court April 8 with the Honorable Judge Ted McIntire presiding. Britt Springer prosecuted.

            Denise Damianos-Kelly (ret. G. McKinney); driving while impaired; pled guilty, found guilty; 18 months unsupervised probation; $200 fine, $143 court costs.

            Timothy Hale Holden (apt. P.W. Glidewell); (m) communicating threats; pled guilty, found guilty; 36 months supervised probation; $133 court costs.

            John Kent Lynne (apt. P.W. Glidewell); driving while impaired; pled guilty, found guilty; 18 months supervised probation; $100 fine, $143 court costs.
