Grand Jury Indictments - Jan. 10, 2011

The following true bills of indictment were returned by the Avery County Grand Jury on Jan. 10, 2011.

Robin Van Shook, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Nathan Ray Silver, possession of a controlled substance.
Francis J. Sipala, failure to comply with sex offender registration.
Tawanda Mae Sparks, felony larceny.
Penny E. Thompson, felony larceny.
Tommy M. Thompson, felony larceny.
Edward Nathaniel Walker, Sr., obtaining property by false pretense.
Hector Watson, Jr., felony worthless check.
James Charlie West, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Thomas Clay White, assault with a firearm on law enforcement officers, assault by pointing a gun and two counts of communicating threats.
Daniel Robert Yeager, felony larceny.

The following true bills of indictment were returned by the Avery County Grand Jury on Feb. 7, 2011.

Mason Todd Balbier, common law robbery.
Susan Theresa Bretsnyder, sell and deliver a schedule II controlled substance and possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver a schedule II controlled substance.
Andrea Pritchard Brewer, trafficking opiate by possession, trafficking opiate by transport, possession of a controlled substance on jail/prison premises, possession of drug paraphernalia, larceny from the person and exploiting disabled/elderly adult.
Lori Ann Carter, trafficking opiate by possession and trafficking opiate by transport.
Calvin Richard Cook, breaking and/or entering, larceny and possession of stolen goods or property.
Gabriel Paul Hughes, sex offense with student.
Larry Mortimer Huskins, Sr., manufacturing and felony possession of marijuana.
Bradley Scott Rodgers, three counts of obtaining property by false pretense.
