‘A rising star’

Sydney Page, a 7th grade student at Avery Middle School, joined hundreds of other middle school chorus students from around North Carolina to add her voice to the Middle School All-State Chorus concert on Saturday, April 27, at Greensboro Coliseum.
Avery County Schools chorus teacher Tara Andrews, who provides vocal instruction at several Avery schools, selected Page from among all of her middle school students to represent Avery County at the concert.
