ACS hires King for transportation director
Avery County Schools welcomes Brian King as its new director

ACS Transportation Department provides transportation to and from school each day for approximately 1,170 students. The team maintains and services more than 65 pieces of equipment including school buses, activity buses, driver education vehicles, wreckers, fuel trucks and maintenance vehicles.
According to transportation records, school vehicles traveled more than 350,000 miles last yeay. ACS transportation employees and bus drivers are committed to providing safe, efficient and orderly transportation for all eligible students in Avery County.
