Crime spree ends

Avery County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a break-in at a business in Spear on Saturday, May 4. Among the items reported missing following the break-in were $1 coins and $2 bills.
Later in the day, authorities in Carter County, Tenn., alerted ACSO to an arrest of two men, Tyler Cook and a male juvenile, in possession of a truck reported stolen in Spruce Pine. One of the young men had passed some $2 bills and a $1 coin at an auto parts store in Roan Mountain, Tenn.
