Several of the top gospel groups in the area and the nation are coming to Newland on Saturday, July 20, for the second annual Jim Greene Memorial Concert at MacDonald Stadium on the campus of Avery High School.

The fun and fellowship begins as gates open at 4 p.m. Inflatable games for kids will be available thanks to a donation by Bouncy n’ Things, with the concert scheduled to begin around 5:45 p.m. Following the concert, there will be a fireworks display, sponsored by Cranberry Pyrotechnics.

This year’s concert is sponsored by Glory 1130-AM WECR radio, Bouncy N’ Things, Hunters Helping Kids, CS Signs and Bodey’s Custom Shirts.

“For no other reason, this is going to be a great worship service,” Greene’s son and Glory 1130-AM General Manager Phillip said.
