A retirement celebration for the founding director of Avery County Senior Services, R.D. Daniels, took place Tuesday, Jan. 22, at Avery County Senior Center. Their thanks came in the form of cards, crafts, free golf, a plaque and even a completed application for Daniels to apply to partake in the services provided by Avery County Senior Services.
