This helicopter and its massive array of saws – measuring in at more than 20-feet – flew in and around Linville last week, trimming branches along Mountain Electric Cooperative’s power line right of ways.

Helicopters are often called “choppers” for short, but that nickname took on a new meaning for visitors to Linville last week, many of whom saw a helicopter sporting a massive array of 24-inch saw blades, which it used to trim trees branches near power lines.
