Avery got healthier over the winter.
High Country Community Health, currently located at 545 Shultz Circle in Newland (inside the Toe River Health Department building), recently opened its doors, providing local health and dental care services to residents of all ages in both Avery and Watauga counties.
The center is a Federally Qualified Healthcare Center, providing quality primary health and dental care, and is open to all, regardless of ability to pay.
