Martin Luther King, Jr. weekend is typically a busy one for the ski resorts, and this past holiday was no exception. Both Sugar Mountain Resort and Beech Mountain Resort reported excellent turnout on the slopes.
“There were super conditions, really great weather and great crowd,” said Sugar Mountain Resort Director of Marketing Kim Jochl. “The snow we’ve gotten has been great. It’s a bit cold, but nonetheless, it’s winter. I think it’s terrific we’re seeing such positive winter weather all around. There’s been some challenging years, which has been tough for the area. We love this winter weather and it’s good for business all around.”
