‘Holidays in the Park’ December 7

Banner Elk Chamber of Commerce along with the Town of Banner Elk will host a family-oriented holiday celebration kicking off with a parade of lights in downtown Banner Elk, then move to Tate-Evans Park in Banner Elk to feature the North Pole Express Train Ride, more than 800 luminaries, Christmas tree and ceremonial menorah-lighting, the arrival of Santa and Mrs. Claus as well as free refreshments and the Alpacas from Apple Hill Farm. The event begins at 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7. Admission is free and open to the general public.
