Linville Gorge Prescribed Burn Update

Sue Crotts of http://www.savelgw.org delivered a petition with approximately 750 signatures to Kristin Bail, Forest Supervisor for National Forests in North Carolina in Asheville on Thursday, Jan. 31. Crotts, accompanied by other activists opposing plans to used prescribed burns in Linville Gorge Wilderness area, said that she spoke with Bail at length about the concerns represented in the petition and felt that Bail understood the group’s objections to the proposed burns.
