Local bus drivers compete at 2013 High Country Bus Road-eo

Avery County Schools bus drivers Mitch Banner, Billy Howard, Judy Storie, Sharon Wood and Danny Wright took part in 2013 High Country Road-eo on April 12 in Ashe County, where drivers demonstrated their skills and acuity with handling and precisely maneuvering school buses through obstacle courses and narrow lanes.
Banner, the reigning North Carolina Bus Road-eo Champion of the Year, emerged victorious in the High Country competition and advances to compete at the district level, which will take place later this month.
