NCDMV Tag and Tax Together plan scheduled to take affect this September
Jamie Shell / (firstname.lastname@example.org)
North Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles is changing how drivers pay for their tags and taxes.
Scheduled to be implemented this September, NCDMV's new vehicle Tag and Tax Together program is designed to collect vehicle property taxes along with registration renewals in one annual payment.
If the address on a driver's vehicle registration is current, he or she will receive a statement that lists both vehicle registration fees and taxes due. Vehicle owners will receive this statement approximately 60 days prior to their vehicle's registration expiration date.
