The Italian Restaurant — Positivity and seven-hour marinara sauce

“It’s all about the sauce. It’s in the spaghetti, the lasagna, the chicken Parmesan. I cook my marinara sauce for seven hours. My sauce is my own and the reason for my success,” local restaurant owner Rama Tahiri said. Considering The Italian Restaurant will celebrate 19 years in April, this has got to be some good marinara.

The Italian Restaurant stands out at 2855 Linville Falls Highway in the middle of the tiny town of Pineola. With bold red, white and green trim, attractive landscaping and a large sign, it is hard to miss. It is not “a” Italian restaurant it is “The” Italian Restaurant, no more definition required. You have to try the food to find out why it deserves the definite article.
