Ada Frances Townsend
Ada Frances Townsend, 92, of Banner Elk, passed away on Jan. 8, 2013, in Montgomery, Ala.
She was born June 28, 1920, in Honaker,
Va., a daughter of the late Albert and Dora Puckett Musick.
Townsend
was a homemaker, an avid gardener, and enjoyed her flowers. Everyone
enjoyed her flowers and all of her canned goods that she had every
summer.
Along with her parents, Townsend was preceded in death by
her husband, Henry William Townsend.
A loving wife, mother,
grandmother and great-grandmother, who was a wonderful provider for
her family and loved ones, Townsend has left to cherish her memory
her daughter, Shirley Townsend Pettit of Montgomery, Ala.; son, James
Michael Townsend and wife, Alice, of Blountville, Tenn.; four
grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
Graveside services for
Ada Frances Townsend were conducted 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013, in
the Townsend Cemetery.
