Alan Lee Braswell

Alan Lee Braswell, 49, of Jonas Ridge, passed away on Friday, Nov. 29, 2013.

He was a son of Gustina Clark Davis and the late Frank Braswell Sr. Braswell enjoyed life to the fullest. He loved his family, enjoyed riding motorcycles, hanging with his many friends, and listening to music. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him.

Surviving in addition to his mother, are his loving wife, Anita Hollifield Braswell; brother, Frank “Butch” Braswell Jr. and wife, Sharon, of Spruce Pine; sister, Tina Ensor and husband, Rick, of Spruce Pine; half-sisters, Leita Braswell of Asheville, and Delta Walsh of Mars Hill; half-brother, Lee Braswell of Burnsville; stepchildren, Michelle Franklin and husband, Chris, of Newland, Priscilla Mellon and husband, Nate, of Mooresboro, and Nick Watson of Newland; stepgrandchildren, Harlie and Hudson Franklin, and Erik Mellon; several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

A celebration of life service was held 5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013, at Pittman Gap Church. The Rev. Mike Rathbone officiated. The family received friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Inurnment was in the Clark Family Cemetery on Harpers Creek Road.
