Bill Wiest III

 A native of Pennsylvania, he was a son of Ermine Bailey Wiest of Greenville, S.C. and the late William Paul Wiest. Wiest attended Journey Church in Morganton and loved God and his church. He was a truck driver who loved music and his friends were considered his family.

Surviving in addition to his mother is his grandmother, Erma Bailey of Pennsylvania; loving wife, Jackie Trivett Wiest; two daughters, Candace Burgin and Sarah Wiest, both of Asheville; a son, Joshua Wiest of Morganton; two step-sons, Curtis Coffey and wife, Jessica, of Johnson City, Tenn., and Matthew Coffey of Spruce Pine; step-grandchildren, Shane Coffey and Halle Coffey, both of Spruce Pine; Frehley Coffey of Johnson City and Derrick and Lindsay McNeely, both of Knoxville, Tenn.; life-long friend, Gregg Marshall of Orlando, Fla.; numerous friends and cousins also survive.

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, April 8, 2013, at Bridge 42 Church in Morganton on Highway 70. Mike Chandler will officiate.
