Charles Wayne Bare
Charles Wayne Bare, 55, of Elk Park passed away Thursday,
July 19, 2012, at his residence. He was born in Heidelberg, Germany. He attended Mayland Community
College in Spruce Pine and was a truck driver. Bare served in the United States Army during the
Vietnam Era and Desert Storm. He was of the Christian faith. He was preceded in death by his
father, Ralph Bare, and a brother, Butch Bare.
Survivors include his wife, Angela Hicks Bare; two sons, Josh Bare of the home; Chris Bare and his fiance, Tamra Lyons, expecting granddaughter, Abigayle; his mother, Sylvia Ollis Bare of Elk Park, a sister, Susie Bare Harrell of Roan Mountain, Tenn. and a brother, Dickie Bare, of Elk Park.
Funeral Services were conducted at 8 p.m. Sunday, July 22, in Memorial Funeral Chapel of Elizabethton, Tenn., with Pastors Richard Sheppard and Bryan Griffith officiating. Graveside Service and Interment was 1 p.m. Monday, July 23, 2012, at V.A. National Cemetery, Mountain Home in Johnson City, Tenn. Music was provided by Aaron McKinney. Active pallbearers were Tommy Hicks, Derrick Morgan, Thomas Guinn, Johnny Hayes, Shawn Sluder, Chris Mackie, Tim Lyons and Cody Laws. Military honors were provided by the Carter County Honor Guard.
