Clyde Horton Keller
Clyde Horton Keller, 86, of Old
Jonas Ridge Hwy., Pineola, passed away on June 16, 2012, at the Hermitage in Elizabethton,
Tenn.
A native of Avery County, he was a son of the late William Smith and the late Novella
Clanton Keller.
Keller was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed gardening. He was a loving and
caring man, who was quite the confabulator and known as the “Mayor of Pineola.”
In addition
to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Frances Keller; brother, Harry Pritchard; and
a grandson, Tim Weatherman.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 67 years, Pansy Vance
Keller of the home; children, Linda Carol Hodges and her husband, Walker, of Pineola, Scottye
Keller of Hilton Head, S.C., Clyde Keller Jr. of Newland, Anne Keener, and her husband, Jimmy, of
Pineola, Mike Keller, and his wife, Helen, of Elizabethton, Tenn.; twelve grandchildren; and
twenty-two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Keller will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday,
June 19, 2012, from the Pineola Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Cuthbertson
Cemetery.
