Darrell Wayne Buchanan
Darrell Wayne Buchanan, 52, passed away on April 24, 2013, at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.
Buchanan was born on June 12, 1960, to the late Harold and Linda Buchanan of Minneapolis.
Left to cherish and carry on his memory are his sister and best friend Karen B. Turner, Kevin Dutton, and Karen’s children, Michael Lee and Brittany S. Townsend whom all had a very special and loving relationship with Buchanan especially the last several years of his life.
He also leaves behind two brothers, Ronnie Buchanan and wife, Angela, of Jonesborough, Tenn., Terry Buchanan and wife, Melanie, of West Jefferson; two children, Brandon Buchanan and Nikki Buchanan; along with three grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews and also very special friends and cousin who was there for him to give him strength and love was Joey & Penny Hodge, along with Randy & Jeane Eskew.
Buchanan loved life especially being outdoors camping, fishing and riding his Harley was something that he enjoyed so much. He was always known best for his heart of gold and a laugh that was like no other. Buchanan was of Baptist faith and loved spreading God’s word and love to others. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Marine Corps in the 1980’s.
A tribute to cherish Buchanan’s life and memory will be made at a later date for close family and friends. A very special thank you to Joe Townsend and Shawn Puckett for digging his grave.
