Evelyn Tolley Cole

Evelyn Tolley Cole, 87, of Luther Franklin Lane, Linville Falls, died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012, at her home.

Born on April 15, 1925, in Swain County, she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Lula McFalls Tolley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughters, Christine, Patricia, and Elaine Cole; her son, Butchie Cole; three sisters; and three brothers.

Cole loved gardening and working with her flowers. She enjoyed crafts of all kinds and making quilts. She was a homemaker and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She is survived by her husband, Willis Cole of the home; her daughters, Louise Biddix and husband, Lewis, of Marion, and Maxine Cole of Linville Falls; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral services for Evelyn Cole were conducted 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012, in the chapel of Webb Funeral Home with the Rev. Ken Anderson officiating. Interment followed in the Tolley Cemetery. The family received friends 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Webb Funeral Home.
