Isaac 'Ike' Ammons

Isaac "Ike" Ammons,88, of Newland passed away on March 23, 2013, at Roan Highlands Nursing Center.
A native of Horry County, S.C., he was born Sept. 26, 1924, a son of the late Rosea and Dessie Allen Ammons.
He a United States Navy Veteran serving in World War II. Ammons was retired from the Federal Government.
Ammons has left to cherish his memory his wife of 66 years, Jane Sarvis Ammons of the home; son, Gene Ammons, and his wife, Sandra, of Linville; grandchildren, Sange Ammons of Clover, S.C., Jeffery Ammons, and his wife, Lesley, of Goldsboro, Gregory Ammons, and his wife, Kerrie, of Columbia, S.C., Mark Ammons, and his wife, Kayla, of Anderson, S.C., Melissa Beeco of Pickens, S.C.; great-grandchildren, Drew Sullivan, Sarah Jane Ammons, Emilee Ammons, Hannah Kate Ammons, Lilly Ammons, Bettix Beeco, Carson Ammons, Maribeth Ammons; brothers, Dean Ammons of Aynor, S.C., and W.L. Ammons, and his wife, Rae, of Myrtle Beach, S.C.
Services for Ammons will be conducted 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at the Hillcrest Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Socastee United Methodist Church, 5575 Dick Pond Rd., Myrtle Beach, SC 29588.
