Missy Eggers Ramsey
Missy Eggers Ramsey, 46, of Banner Elk,
passed away on Tuesday, July 31, 2012.
She was born in Catawba
County on April 15, 1966, a daughter of the late Mack V. and Mary
Alice Flowers Eggers.
Ramsey was a member of the Banner Elk
Methodist Church.
She worked as the Store Manager for the
Salvation Army Store in Foscoe, where she embraced the mission of the
Salvation Army. She loved her customers and they loved her.
Ramsey
was a member and past president of the Banner Elk Volunteer Fire
Department Auxiliary.
She loved children and was a second mother
to all of her nieces and nephews. She was also a member of "The
Giggle Gang" Clown ministry.
Ramsey has left to cherish her
memory her husband, Mark Ramsey of the home; son, Sky DeJesus Ramsey
of the home; sisters, Terri Eggers of Hickory, Beth Shomaker and
husband, Bill, of San Antonio, Texa, Alice Stone and husband, Gary,
of Gray, Tenn.; brother, Butch Eggers of Lenoir; several nieces and
nephews.
Funeral services for Ramsey were conducted 3 p.m.
Saturday, August 4, 2012, at the Banner Elk Methodist Church with the
Rev. Dan Brubaker, Lt. Michal Chapman, Capt. Michael Harris, and the
Rev. George Wright officiating. The family received friends from 1
p.m. until the service hour.
