Oscar Dobrow
Oscar Dobrow, 83, of Newland, passed away on Monday, Jan. 30, 2012, surrounded by his family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marian, and second wife, Sue. He was blessed with one son, Mike, and a daughter-in-law, Mitchell; three daughters, Marty Spradling, and son-in-law, Stan, Karen Taylor, and son-in-law, Dennis, and Diane Bohan, and son-in-law, Chris.
He was very proud of his nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He loved being with his family and telling stories of his childhood.
Originally from Pahokee, Fla., he moved to Newland in 1987 with his wife, Sue. He loved living in this wonderful small town that is so much like the town in which he grew up. The friendliness of the people and the peacefulness of the area made the latter part of his life a treasure. He will surely be missed.
In lieu of flowers, make donations to Medi Home Care Hospice of Avery County.
