Patricia “Pat” McCurry Daniels
Patricia “Pat” McCurry Daniels, 72, of Morganton, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 26, 2012, at Burke Hospice and Palliative Care.
She was born Oct. 30, 1939, a daughter of the late Ethmond and Caroline Banner McCurry. Daniels enjoyed gardening, flowers, cooking, traveling and animals.
Along with her parents, Daniels was preceded in death by her: Husband, Sheriff Howard Beverly Daniels; and sister, Linda Laws.
A loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, she has left to cherish her memory her: Son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Edee Daniels of Candler; daughters, Cindy Carlton and husband Tommy of Morganton, Brandi Daniels of San Diego, Calif.; sisters, Barbara Daniels of Newland, Connie Rathbun and husband Gary of New Smyrna, Fla., Sandy Kragiel and husband Daniel of Newland; grandsons, Koby Daniels of Candler, and Bryson Carlton of Morganton; granddaughter, Hannah Carlton of Morganton; her special companion, her dog, Lily. Several nieces and nephews also survive her.
Funeral services for Daniels were conducted on Sunday, Jan. 29, 2012, in the Grandfather Chapel of Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Burke Hospice and Palliative Care, 1721 Enon Road, Valdese, N.C. 28690.
