Sammy James Parlier

Sammy James Parlier, 67, of Montezuma passed away on Feb. 27, 2013, at Life Care Center of Banner Elk.
A native of Avery county, he was born April 8, 1945, a son of the late Thurman and Hessie McGuire Parlier.
He was a member of Fall Creek Baptist Church.
Along with his parents, Parlier was preceded in death by his, wife, Judy Parlier; brother, JD Parlier.
Parlier has left to cherish his memory his son, Bruce Parlier of the home; sisters, Jane Lynch of Pensicola, Fla., Georgia Gilliam, Banner Elk., Alma Shell, Nashville, Tenn.; grandsons, Clinton Parlier, Richard James Parlier; several nieces and nephews.
Services for Parlier will be conducted at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Yellow Mountain Enterprises at P.O. Box 548 Newland, NC 28657.
