Stella Cook Thomas

Stella Cook Thomas, 91, former residence of Birchfield Creek Rd., Minneapolis, but spent the last two years at Roan Highlands Nursing Center passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2013.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Thomas; sons, Earl Dean and Gary Thomas; brothers, Walt Cook, Calvin Cook, Willard Cook; sister, Vernal Taylor.
Thomas was loved by her family and friends, and was known for her homemade biscuits and apple pies. She loved flowers and was a homemaker.
She is survived by her son, C.L. Thomas, and his wife, Joyce, of Roan Mountain, Tenn.; daughter in law, Jackie Thomas; grandkids, Lee Thomas, Angi Clark and her husband, Chad, Steve Thomas, and his wife, Beverly, Tim Thomas, Megan Thomas; great grandkids, Sidney Clark, Isaac Clark (her little preacher man), Codey Thomas, Bailey Thomas; A special Niece, Willie Nell Ollis.
Family, friends, and pallbearers gathered 10 a.m. at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 16, 2013, in preparation for the services.
Officiating was the Revs. John McCoury and Allen Laws.
