Theodore R. “Teddy” Henson Jr.,
Unit #115 with Palmetto Ambulance, beloved husband of Rebecca Davis
Henson, answered his last call on Friday, September 28, 2012.
Born
in Crossnore, he was a son of the late Theodore R. Henson Sr. and the
late Gloria Jean Davenport Hayes. He had been a resident of Aiken
County for the last 21 years. Henson was formerly a carpenter and for
the last four years he was an emergency medical technician with
Palmetto Ambulance. He loved his work, but more than anything he
enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, MaKinley and Isaiah
Davis. He faithfully attended Bath Pentecostal Holiness Church where
served as Armor Bearer to Preacher Branch.
In addition to his
wife, parents and grandchildren, family members include his children,
Jamie Renee Davis, Travis Ray Henson and J.D. Pierson, all of
Warrenville; brothers, Jerry Hayes, (Angela) Warrenville, Steve
Hayes, (Nikki) Warrenville, Robert Henson, (Tammy) Crossnore and Josh
Henson, (Julia) Crossnore; grandmother, Emmalene Henson, Crossnore;
and step-mother, Carol Henson, Crossnore.
A celebration of life
service was held 5 p.m. Sunday, September 30, 2012, at Bath
Pentecostal Holiness Church, Bath, with Pastor Bill Branch
officiating. Honorary pallbearers were his co-workers at Palmetto
Ambulance. A graveside service was held Monday at Cuthbertson
Cemetery in Crossnore.
It has been suggested by the family that
memorials be made to the building fund at Bath Pentecostal Holiness
Church, Drawer H, Bath, S.C. 29816.
