Avery Athletics holds special cancer awareness games

Avery High School held a number of games last week that were designated to raise awareness for cancer research and to raise funds for Avery High School teacher and cancer fighter Stacey Clark.
For its game against Mitchell on Wednesday, May 1, Avery girls soccer held its Kicking Cancer event at MacDonald Stadium in conjunction with its Senior Night festivities. Players wore pink ribbons and socks in honor of Clark and to shed light on the need to continue the fight against cancer with research and funding.
