Men’s basketball downs Furman, falls to Davidson in SoCon semis
ASU didn’t mind rolling up its collective sleeves and getting its hands dirty on defense in its quarterfinal matchup against the Furman Paladins on Saturday, March 9, forcing 18 turnovers and converting them into 33 points en route to a 74-60 win at the Southern Conference Men’s Basketball Tournament at U.S. Cellular Center.

“I thought we came out and set the tone defensively,” ASU coach Jason Capel said. “We were very unselfish, and defensively we came out and took them out of what they wanted to do. We turned their turnovers into easy baskets ourselves.”
