Dogtown Wrestling competes at Jr. High and Elementary state championships

Dogtown Wrestling Club continues to excel as it makes a statewide name for itself.

The group recently competed at the Junior High and Elementary State Wrestling Championships in Winston-Salem, finishing in second place out of more than 60 clubs in attendance.

DWC boasted a trio of state champions at the end of the event, including Joe Jordan, Levi Andrews and Ben Oakes, as well as a quartet of runner-up placers in Tino Wood, Ben Jordan, River Griffith and Lucas Andrews.

A pair of wrestlers, Cooper Foster and Ethan Shell, earned third-place finishes, while Harrison Horney earned a fourth-place finish. In the junior-high division, Blake Williams earned a second-place finish.
