The Lady Vikings finished the regular season with a 2-6 overall record, and a 2-4 mark in Western Highlands Conference matches. Polk, Mountain Heritage and Hendersonville were the only conference teams in 2013, in addition to the Lady Vikings. Avery also played Thomas Jefferson, home and away.

Avery wrapped up its 2013 regular season last week with a 5-4 win on “Think Pink” day against the Lady Cougars of Mountain Heritage at Lacey Tennis Complex on Thursday, Oct. 3.

Winners in singles action for the Big Red were No. 1 singles Lindsay Wiseman, as well as No. 4 Keturah Taylor and No. 6 Ollianne Rainey. With the singles portion of the match knotted at three matches apiece, the match was decided in doubles competition.
