Local weather leaving indelible mark on school sports schedules

The story is the same for every outdoor athletics program within Avery County Schools. 
Excessive rain and snow in the High Country has forced the postponement of dozens of games across multiple sports within Avery's middle school and high school sports programs. The effect has been such that most teams were not even able to practice their respective sports on outside surfaces before suiting up for its first regular season game.
