Vikings baseball falls in rain-shortened game to Heritage to close season

Avery baseball concluded its 2013 campaign with a trip to Burnsville on Tuesday, May 7, for a scheduled doubleheader against Mountain Heritage. The Cougars built a 7-0 lead after four innings when rain fell on the field, prompting umpires to call the game and cancel the second scheduled contest.

AHS managed only one hit, a Ty Polsgrove fourth-inning single, to break up a perfect game by the Heritage hurler.
