Western Highlands Conference tournament pairings set

Pairings for next week's Western Highlands Conference
tournaments have been set.
Avery Lady Vikings varsity girls will take the floor at Mitchell High School at 4 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 18, as the tournament's top seed, where it will host No. 8-seeded Hendersonville. The winner of the contest will face the winner of at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 21, against the winner of the matchup between No. 4-seeded Madison and No. 5-seeded Mitchell.
Avery's varsity boys hoops will kickoff conference tournament action at Mitchell High School as a No. 5 seed. The Big Red will face No. 4-seeded Polk County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 19. The winner of the game will square off at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 21, against the winner of the contest between top-seeded Hendersonville and No. 8-seeded Thomas Jefferson Academy.
In junior varsity tournament action, Avery's JV boys will play Mitchell @ Harris Middle School at 5:15 pm on Monday, Feb. 18. Avery's JV girls squad plays at Harris Middle School at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 19, against Thomas Jefferson Academy.
