                      There will be no in-person registration during one-stop voting    period.  One-stop voting begin on April 24th and ends on May 3rd. One-stop voting hours in the Board of Elections office are as follows:  April 24th, 25th,26th,28th,29th are 7:00 a.m.  8:00 p.m.  April 30th, May 1st, 2nd, are 6:00 a.m.  8:00 p.m.  May 3rd hours are 7:00 a.m.  1:00 p.m.

    One-Stop voting site will be at the Avery County Board of       Elections office located at 200 Montezuma Street, Court House Annex, Suite 307, Newland, NC 28657.

    Requests for an absentee ballot must be made on the state     provided form and received in the Avery County Board of      Elections office by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 29th, 2014.       UOCAVA request may be received until Monday, May 5th at 5:00 p.m.  Mail in absentee applications may be obtained by requesting a form from the Elections office, PO Box 145, Newland, NC 28657 or visit our website at http://www.averycountync.gov and follow the links.

    All ballots must be returned by 5:00 p.m. on May 6th or be      postmarked May 6th, and received by Friday, May 9th at 5:00 p.m. UOCAVA ballots are considered timely if received by 7:30 p.m. on May 6th if returned by electronic transmission or by 5:00 p.m. on Monday May 12th if returned by mail.
